For buyers
How do I install a vault I just bought?
Every paid order produces a single .zip file with the vault inside. Open Obsidian → Open another vault→ unzip somewhere and point Obsidian at that folder. Don't copy contents into an existing vault unless the seller specifically says it's a fragment / template pack — most listings expect to live as their own vault.
Personal vs Commercial license — what changes?
Personal is for one human, one workflow. Commercial is for billed work, client deliverables, or sharing inside a company. Sellers set both prices independently and may offer only one. The full terms live in the Terms of Service.
Can I get a refund?
EU buyers can withdraw within 14 days of purchase, unless they checked the digital-content waiver at checkout (we make that explicit). Outside the EU, refunds are the seller's call. Full conditions: refund policy.
I lost my download link — can I regenerate it?
Yes. Open My library → tap Regenerate on the vault. The old link stops working immediately; the new one is fresh.
Will the seller get notified when I buy or wishlist?
Sellers see anonymized purchase counts and follower totals, but they don't see who specifically bought, wishlisted, or followed. Reviews are the only place where your username is shown alongside their listing.
For sellers
How do I list my first vault?
Go to Become a seller, finish the DAC7 onboarding (TIN + country, legal name, address — EU regulatory requirement), then upload your zipped vault. Personal price is required, Commercial is optional but recommended for B2B reach.
When do I get paid?
Payouts run on a 7-day chargeback hold (14 days for new sellers). After that, Stripe Connect Express transfers to your linked account on a rolling basis. Sellers in countries Stripe doesn't support get manual IBAN payouts — write to support@loot.mdif that's you.
What take rate does loot.md charge?
10% flat platform fee. Stripe's processing fees (≈ 2.9% + €0.30 on cards) pass through to the seller, same as any storefront. There are no listing fees, no monthly fees, no "featured" upsell.
Can I update a vault after people have bought it?
Yes — every listing has an append-only update timeline (devlog-style). You can opt to push new zips to existing buyers automatically, or keep updates as patch notes only. For breaking changes, ship a new listing linked via parent_listing_id with an upgrade discount for v1 owners.
Why does loot.md ask for my tax info?
EU rule DAC7 requires marketplaces to collect TIN + country of issue, legal name, DOB or business reg, address, and IBAN from anyone earning from a digital marketplace. We pass your annual totals to the Romanian tax authority (ANAF Form F7000 by Jan 31). Background: seller agreement.
